Black tulip
A new and dramatic addition for the Fall 2023 group.
This new outfit came about with a photo I saw of a blouse on Pinterest.
I made the pattern with the Bishop sleeve cut it from white organza, put it all together, sewn little clear plastic snaps and buttons. Tried it on and the top snap will not snap.
I replaced it, no snap.
At this point the fabric started raveling, I got upset and took all the buttons off. This one was going to the garbage.
I cut a new blouse, and this is the one you see.
No more plastic snaps.
As I mentioned it is made of white silk organza with high collar and Bishop sleeves.
It closes in the front with METAL snaps and decorated with pearl buttons.
The skirt is high waisted, it goes up to just under the breasts.
Very slim and form fitting.
The skirt is made of black crepe worsted wool. It is lined with black china silk, a zipper in the back and a hook at the top.
The bottom is decorated with silk dupioni stripes that I gathered and hand sewn to get the ruffles that you see.
After many many finger stubbing with the sewing needle, I achieved the right flare and the drama I was after.
The jewelry is made of gold beads and gold chain with gold beads.
The shoes that can not be seen are cuff height boots.
