From inspiration to final outfit.

Working on the After Dior group created a challenge for me.

First I don't have a crew that can transform my ideas to a finished product.

I do it all.

So I started with an outfit that Galliano's did for Dior Spring/ Summer 2011.

I love everything about this outfit and in the past made some variations of it.

So I started with the skirt.

A silvery fabric that I have no idea where I got from, its silky and soft.

I lined it with a layer of burgundy silk organza and red glitter tulle to give it stiffness, then I hand pleated it.

So step one is done.

Now its time to work on the jacket.

I have a pattern that I used for other outfits in the group and seeing that Galliano used a similar silhouette makes it easier. The group has a wide shawl collar that is embellished with layers of tulle.
